As the RFID technology used in our Australian resorts is different from the technology used in the Northern Hemisphere resorts, you will need a different Mountain Access Card for use in each hemisphere.
To collect your card in Japan, visit a ticket office at one of Hakuba Valley's 10 resorts or Rusutsu and follow these steps:
1. Sign in to your Epic Australia Pass account here
2. Navigate to your account details:
- Go to My Season Passes to find your Customer ID number and Pass Status details
- If travelling with family members, use the Select Pass Holder drop-down menu to view
Customer ID numbers for linked Household Members.
3. Present the following at the ticket window:
- Each Pass holder's Current Season Passes page (this can be a screenshot)
- Valid photo ID showing full name and date of birth (e.g., Passport or Driver's Licence)
Alternative Option
You may present your Australian-issued Mountain Access Card along with a valid photo-ID to verify your access. Important: If you have an older card or multiple accounts, your Customer ID number may be out of date. Please use the steps outlined above to confirm that the Customer ID number in your account matches the one on your card before travelling.
Handy Hint
When you collect your new card in Japan, it is important to take a photo of the card for your records. If you lose your new card before using your 5 days of lift access, return to a ticket office and show the photo to request a replacement.
